Puppy Training Experience with Huskies in Tromsø

Take part in an exciting and educational experience at Tromsø Villmarkssenter, where dog sledding is at the heart of our work. During this 2.5-hour activity, you’ll assist in training the next generation of sled dogs alongside our experienced handlers.

The session begins with an introduction to the huskies, focusing on their care, early training, and development. Depending on their age, the puppies participate in various exercises to prepare them for future sledding. You’ll join them on a scenic hike near the husky farm, lasting about 1 to 1.5 hours, while learning techniques to guide and motivate these young, energetic dogs.

Wear waterproof shoes, as the terrain is mostly moorland. If needed, you can rent suitable footwear or rain gear on-site.

• Join professional handlers in training husky puppies aged 4 weeks to 6 months.
• Enjoy a guided hike near Tromsø Villmarkssenter’s husky farm.
• Learn techniques for caring for and guiding young sled dogs.

Minimum of 2 participants required. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Wear suitable outdoor clothing for the weather.
