Experience the thrill of leading a team of Alaskan huskies through the scenic landscapes of Kvaløya Island near Tromsø. This hands-on dog sledding adventure offers both excitement and a chance to connect with Arctic nature.
Begin your journey with a comprehensive briefing on dog sledding techniques, ensuring you're prepared to mush your own team. You'll share a two-person sled with another participant, alternating between driver and passenger roles at the midway point. As you glide through the mountainous terrain, take in the serene beauty of the Arctic wilderness.
After approximately 45 minutes on the sled, return to the cozy gamme-hut for a warm lunch by the open fire. Savor Bidos, a traditional Sami reindeer stew, followed by their signature chocolate cake, accompanied by coffee and tea. The adventure concludes with a guided tour of the dog yard, where you can meet and learn about the 200 friendly Alaskan huskies, including a visit to the puppies.
